Safe Outdoor

To ensure the health and safety of children and adults in the pre-school's outdoor area:

Our outdoor area is securely fenced

Ensure our outdoor area is checked for safety and cleared of rubbish and debris before it is used.

Adults and children are alerted to the dangers of poisonous and hazardous plants.

Where water can form a pool on equipment, it is emptied before children start playing outside.

Our outdoor sand pit is covered when not in use.

All outdoor activities are supervised at all times.

When water is used, care is taken to clear up spillages as soon as possible, and the children made aware of the dangers. Children are supervised at all times.

When evacuation of the garden is necessary, we ensure the children line up when a whistle is blown and leave the outdoor area as quickly as possible.
