|Caitlin Caitlin is our Pre-school Leader. Hello, I’m Caitlin and I am married with two children Emma age 13 and Ryan age 11. We moved to the UK from South Africa in 2022. After having children, I was able pursue my passion and study teaching. I was given the opportunity to work at the school where my children attended, where I was exposed to a variety of roles within the school and was able to develop professionally. I joined CAPs in 2023. I am the Leader as well as the Designated Safeguarding Lead. I believe that is important for children to have a solid foundation in education. I am passionate in making sure that each child develops at their optimum level and am a firm advocate for the development of the “whole” child. I am an energetic and enthusiastic person. Outside of Pre-school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also love baking.
|Natalie Natalie has been in the childcare sector for 14 years and works full time at CAPS as a Pre-school Deputy Leader and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. She has a real passion for child development and supporting them to become more independent. Outside of pre-school she enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing netball for Cold Ash in the Newbury League.
|Carol Carol has been with CAPS for 10 years; she is our Senior Pre-school Assistant, has been in the childcare sector for 25 years and is passionate about early years development, often spending her spare time researching new ideas and practices. Carol works at the pre-school every day and likes to support the children to become confident, independent individuals that have skills to be able to think for themselves and problem solve. Her interests and hobbies are art/craft, yoga, reiki and photography.
|Helen Helen works with us part time as a Pre-school Assistant. Her passion and expertise is SEN provision, and as such she is our SENCo. She has extensive knowledge and experience in this field and likes working with parents to best support all children equally. She has been in the childcare sector for 25 years and is known for being the messiest (with messy play of course!) staff member. Outside of pre-school she enjoys to spend time with her family and animals, gardening and seeing friends.
|Amy Amy has been in early years childcare for over 10 years and has two children of her own who are 10 and 6. She’s with us full time in setting as a Pre-school Assistant and is our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant). In her spare time she enjoys walks with her puppy and spending lots of family time exploring new places .
|Kelly Kelly’s background is in childcare as well as health and social care. She has a particular interest in child development and play based learning, and is passionate about every individual feeling heard and valued. She has 2 boys aged 7 and 3 and enjoys spending time together exploring outside and seeing extended family
|Clare As our administrator, Clare works with us part time keeping all the administration in order. Originally a CAPS parent and then Committee Trustee, Clare learned what a lovely Pre-school CAPS is and jumped at the chance to become more involved. She has been with us for 8 years and worked with staff and numerous committees to keep us on track to maintain our ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating. In her spare time Clare enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing a spot of gardening and going to the theatre.
